Running Out Of Heart

This idea, born out of all the moments i’ve felt like i’ve had enough and run out of heart.

There’s plenty going on in the world and close around you at times that will leave you feeling flat and without any energy to get going.

I went through a lot of sketches trying to put this one together. How could I merge a shoe and a heart?

Eventually I settled on the Huarache for this piece because the soft back of the shoe was perfect to take away and incorporate all of the fatty tissue and arteries. The heel strap added a nice tie in aswell…
